What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Supported Employment
At Tasks Unlimited, we believe that a stable, supportive work environment is critical to successful mental health recovery.
The supported employment program offers mental health services, paid on-the-job training and basic living skills development. Staff and peers understand mental illness and provide accommodations that allow program participants to complete their work with excellent quality. Trainees learn how to cope with their mental illness symptoms and find appropriate interventions before mental health deterioration.
Participants can take part in the supported employment program with or without supported housing. All participants must qualify for and complete one of Tasks Unlimited's paid training programs upon admission. Successful training graduates average nearly 11 years of steady employment with the organization.
Previous work experience is not required for admission.
Tasks Unlimited Building Services
The experienced janitorial service teams at Tasks Unlimited Building Services can help your business provide a healthy and inviting environment through quality commercial cleaning services at an affordable cost.
A certified ISSA Green Cleaning Professional* oversees all commercial cleaning at Tasks Unlimited Building Services. With the earth-friendly cleaning alternatives provided, buildings can gain points towards attaining U. S. Green Building Councils Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design** for their building. Cleaning crews use HEPA filtration vacuums to reduce airborne particles and safe, non-toxic bathroom and window cleaners that meet and exceed standards required for certification. Green cleaning results in a healthier work environment and fewer sick days from employees. We provide daylight cleaning options to save you money from reduced electricity and heating/cooling costs.
Case Management
Tasks Unlimited provides medication management, therapy, Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS), case management, and housing stabilization services for adults with mental illness. We strive to strengthen our community by creating opportunities for individuals and families to live emotionally healthy and independent lives to achieve personal growth and mental wellness. Our vision is to provide affordable, accessible, culturally competent, and trauma-informed services through a collaborative approach to mental health care.
Tasks Unlimited Lodges
Tasks Unlimited lodges are stable, supportive homes in clean, desirable neighborhoods throughout the Twin Cities that are available for program participants.
Unlike group homes, Tasks Unlimited lodges do not have 24-hour supervision. Based on the Fairweather Lodge Model, lodges are affordable, inter-dependent living environments operated by the tenants with limited assistance from staff. Lodge members manage their own lives and provide support to each other in daily activities. They establish their own rules, pay rent, clean, shop for groceries, go to work and participate in community activities just as one would do in any roommate living situation.
All lodge members complete the Tasks Unlimited Training Center program or Transitions Lodge program before moving into a lodge. These programs use peer support to teach basic living skills, mental health maintenance, and employment readiness skills per the Fairweather Lodge Model principles.
