What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Chicago Runners
Chicago Runners serves more than 17,000 Chicago children in over 46 schools with at least 15 minutes of regular physical activity three times a week.
Little Strides
Little Strides provides pre- K students with physical activities that help to develop gross motor skills, create healthy habits and help young children become kindergarten ready.
Running Mates
Running Mates is an after-school program designed to train middle-school youth to run in local races while learning about teamwork, good sportsmanship, and cross-community collaboration. Running Mates (RM) follows a Sports Based Youth Development model and coaches follow a Trauma Sensitive Coach curriculum. In the 2017-2018 school year, RM served 350 youth in 20 schools and other sites. There are three, eight-week Running Mates seasons: fall, winter and spring, and a smaller summer season. Each season includes two to three practices per week, a mid-season city-wide field trip, and a race.
LACE Up!
LACE Up! (Leadership, Action, Community and Endurance), is a new leadership program for Chicago Run alumni who are now in high school.
