Global Volunteers encourages and enables individuals and families to spend short periods of time working with and learning from local people in host communities throughout the world. Founded in 1984, Global Volunteers is a private, nonsectarian, apolitical nonprofit corporation, established to help promote justice and peace through mutual understanding.
