Mission Statement
Our mission statement is: "With God's help and love, we serve children and families."  We are a faith-based agency with a voluntary chapel program to provide spiritual growth.  Eagle Village believes in helping troubled children and their families find hope, faith and a new future for themselves.
Impact Statement
Eagle Village's top accomplishment is our success rate of 80%, measured 12 months following discharge.  This success rate means we are making a difference in 3 out of every 4 children placed in our care.  We do this by keeping kids safe; helping them develop healthy, loving relationships; and building their character and leadership skills.

Additional accomplishments:
1.  135 children were served in our residential treatment program.
2.  52 children were placed in caring nurturing foster homes.
3.  25 children were placed in permanent adoptive homes.
4.  Our assessment center provided safe long-term care and treatment for 141 children.
5.  Our assessment center provided short-term crisis care for 66 children.
6.  Our on-campus school taught many of our children the new thrill of academic success.
7.  Off-campus youth employment assistance, through our Michigan Works! program, was given a 93% employer satisfaction rate for the 213 youths placed in jobs.

Goals for 2010:
1.  Continue our successful sustainable funding campaign to further stabilize operations.
2.  Increase our capacity to treat abused and neglected adolescent girls by 50%.
3.  Further reduce dependency on state government as our primary revenue stream.  We currently receive 80% of our funding from the state.  Our long-term goal is to reduce funding from the state to 50% by 2016.
Background Statement
In 1968, Eagle Village founders began with a dream that troubled youth deserved more than being warehoused in a detention facility.  They deserved a second chance at changing their behaviors/attitudes so they could succeed.  Forty-one years later, we serve thousands of children and families annually on our beautifully wooded, 683-acre campus.  Using experiential-based programs and counseling, we provide hope for kids who have been abused, we find loving homes for children who have been neglected, and we teach youth who have broken the law how to become productive citizens.  Rock climbing, high ropes courses and camping trips are part of the programming.  These activities encourage kids to "experience" success which leads to positive changes in their lifestyle.
