Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Helping needy Jews around the world;
Locally, GLJWF assists Jews in need and strengthens Jewish identity in our community by:
supporting the community Chevra Kadisha,
providing for local programing,
providing gift books for our b’nai mitzvah celebrants, and
providing grants for attending Jewish youth camps and for participating in programs in Israel.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
In order to help needy Jews around the world, and as a branch of the Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA), we forward to them a substantial part of the funds that our donors contribute. The funds collected by JFNA go the Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI) and the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC).
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Depends on donation patterns of the local community.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Depends on donation patterns of the local community.
