COMMUNITY RE-ENTRY
When justice-involved citizens return to society, they often want to start over but don’t know how. They need counseling, stable housing, and a job, but lack the necessary resources. Some are released with only the clothes on their back, $10 to $200 in their pocket, and a bus ticket to the state line. Returning home can be a huge challenge — so hard that many returning citizens often fail and end up re-offending before long. We offer justice-involved citizens the support they need to transition home, including case management, temporary housing & housing location assistance, employment assistance, and more.
Programs Offered
> Residential Re-entry Center (MD)
> VOA Works (MD)
> Newport News YouthBuild (VA)
SUPPORTIVE HOUSING
