Mission Statement

Exodus International was founded in 1976. Since then, it has grown to incorporate over 140 local Christian ministries in North America and is a founding member of The Exodus Global Alliance, which is comprised of Exodus Latin America, Exodus Europe, Exodus Asia Pacific, Exodus Brazil and the developing regions of China and Africa. Exodus International North America, with headquarters in Orlando, Florida, oversees 140 agencies in the USA and Canada and in 2006 developed the Exodus Church Network with a goal of partnering with 10,000 churches by 2010. We are a referral and information center for those affected by unwanted homosexuality, offering a wealth of printed resources, a free newsletter, testimonies, videos, books, CD's, and an annual four-day training conference for individuals struggling with same sex attraction issues, family members and friends, youth, pastors and counselors.

Alan Chambers joined Exodus International as the organizations 3rd chief executive officer in October, 2001. His own decision to leave homosexuality more than 17 years years ago gives him tremendous insight as he addresses the cultural problems and public policies surrounding this difficult issue in churches, colleges and various public forums around the world. Alan has been interviewed by numerous television, radio and print outlets across North America and Europe, including FoxNews, The Los Angeles Times, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, World and Time magazines, ABCÕs 20/20, Nightline and Good Morning America, CNNÕs Anderson Cooper 360, and various MSNBC programs.He was listed in Charisma magazine as one of the top Christian leaders who represent the future of the American church. He is the author of GodÕs Grace and the Homosexual Next Door (Harvest House, 2006) and Leaving Homosexuality (Harvest House, 2009). and is regularly featured as a guest columnist for WorldNet Daily, Charisma, and New Man Magazines to name a few . Most of all, Alan is husband to Leslie and father to a son and daughter all of whom he treasures! The Chambers family live in Orlando, Florida.
