Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Mission, Large and Small Grants and Research
Through Komen Maryland's educational and outreach activities and our grant programs, Komen Maryland works to fulfill our promise to save lives, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures. Komen Maryland grants funds to community organizations throughout the state which provide direct breast health services within their local community. These grant programs provide vital, often life-saving services for women, men and families in Maryland.
Komen Maryland provides educational services and materials to survivors, co-survivors, women living with Metastatic Breast Cancer, providers and other stakeholders across the state.
From Breast Health Basics Presentations for community groups and workplaces to our Resource Guide for Breast Health and Healing, thousands of Marylanders each year turn to Komen Maryland for information and support.
In addition to educational presentations and resources, Komen Maryland facilitates four regional Breast Health Consortia that bring together those interested in breast health and breast cancer in their local communities to network and share resources that promote access to services and support for survivors, co-survivors and women living with Metastatic Breast Cancer.
For over two decades, Komen Maryland has also provided annual Educational Symposia featuring expert speakers and offering tools to maintain breast health, support survivors and uphold healthy survivorship.
