What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Endowed Chair Program
An Endowed Chair creates a legacy as a lasting, high-visibility link between the donor for whom the endowment is named and the ongoing achievements of the pediatric program. Endowed faculty positions allow for long-range planning, stability and financial integrity. They free the Children’s Hospital to make commitments to the most promising clinical applications, and provide seed funding for new programs to be launched. They shape the institution’s intellectual character and ensure that academic vision is not sacrificed due to financial constraint.
The Children’s Foundation is committed to the tradition and importance of endowed chairs in recognizing and fostering excellence among the medical professionals at the Children’s Hospital of San Antonio.
Annual Circle of Giving
The Annual Circle of Giving creates the opportunity to steward donors' generosity, ensuring they are honored and properly thanked. The goal is to engage donors fully, utilizing more personalized efforts to cater to their unique interests and connect them with similar opportunities which provide encouragement to continue their involvement with the Children’s Hospital. The Circle of Giving does not provide any benefits to our donors but we choose instead to thank our donors through sincere heartfelt opportunities, paying special attention to all donors.
Nellie B. West Society
The Board of Directors established the Nellie B. West Society to recognize donors who include the Children’s Foundation in their estate plans. The society is named in celebration of Ms. West who created a permanent endowed gift to the Children’s Hospital which now serves as a legacy for others who provide for the future of health care through their gifts of estate planning.
Nellie B. West Society members are recognized for either:
1. Future Gifts - planned by bequest, beneficiary designation or POD (pay upon death) designation.
2. Split Interest Gifts - charitable remainder trusts, charitable lead trusts, charitable gift annuities, etc.
Santa Rosa Giving Society
Celebrating the philanthropic spirit surrounding the ministry of the Children’s Hospital, the Claude Dubuis Society was established to recognize the Children’s Foundation’s most generous benefactors. Donors with single or cumulative gifts totaling $100,000 or more to the Children’s Foundation are inducted into the Claude Dubuis Society. The Children’s Foundation is grateful for the exceptional generosity shown by these patrons, which shows the enduring commitment to children and health care. The Claude Dubuis Society recognizes donors who have reached milestones in their lifetime giving at four set levels, $100K, $1M, $5M and $10M.
