What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Shelter & Placement
Shelter: Provide daily shelter, food and care for approx. 1,200 lost, abandoned and stray small domestic animals each year.
Placement: Place animals with proper human caregivers through adoption, return to owners, and with rescue organizations.
Animal Shelter, Adoption Center
Adoption of homeless pets is our most important job. VVHS provides shelter and care for homeless animals throughout the Verde Valley. In 2022 we took in 1,275 homeless pets.
We promote respect for all animals and practice socially conscious sheltering by adhering to the guiding principles that facilitate the best outcome for each homeless cat and dog in our care.
