Utah Health Policy Project is committed to advocating for Medicaid Expansion in the State of Utah, Consumer Healthcare Literacy, and Healthcare Reform.
Navigator Organization
UHPP is the recipient of a Federal Navigator Grant and is the Leading Team member for Take Care Utah a state wide organization to help under-served individuals enroll in MarketPlace insurance

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Utah Health Policy Project envisions a future in which all Utahns have access to high quality and affordable physical, oral and behavioral health care and are equipped to make informed decisions within a system that meets their health care needs in a timely manner.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Outreach and Enrollment: Utah Health Policy Project partners with organizations all across Utah to maintain Take Care Utah, a collaboration around Health Insurance Outreach and Enrollment to primarily low income and underserved Utahns. Takecareutah.org and the phone number 211 provides for a one place stop hub to connect consumers in need of assistance. Our public education campaigns focus on getting the word out to families and individuals who may not be aware of their options.
Health Care Policy Advocacy: Utah Health Policy Project coordinate community coalitions around policy objectives. These coalitions serve to promote our policy goals through a collaborative approach

Utah Health Policy Project main policy goal is to arrive at a policy solution to the Medicaid expansion coverage gap. This solution has not yet been reached
