Mission Statement

Highfield Hall is providing a new model for historic houses. Now established as a vital, active and welcoming home for the entire community, Highfield Hall seeks to bring together local residents, and visitors to the area, to celebrate the arts, foster education, and enrich community life. We seek to serve consituents of all ages and provide engaging opportunites to meld together the past, present and future.

She holds a BA in History and an MA in Public History and has previously been the director of the Plymouth Antiquarian Society, the Historical Society of Old Yarmouth, and the Cape Cod Children's Museum. Milligan is a successful fundraiser, has wide experience in developing public programs, and is a published author and accomplished speaker.

Program Description:

Under the direction of Dr. Robert Wyatt, Highfield Hall sponsors music programs that include chamber music concerts, less-formal music performances, holiday concerts, and an Emerging Artist Program with the New England Conservatory. Lectures are also presented each year by Dr. Robert Wyatt, drawing from talks that he presents at the Smithsonian Instution in Washington, D.C.

Program: Kids Culinary Academy

Funding Needs

Highfield Hall's operating budget is currently about $500,000. Of that amount approximately 60% is raised through Annual Fund gifts and special events. Additionally, Highfield Hall is beginning a $3,000,000 comprehensive campaign to help raise endowment funds to sustain the orgainzation and provide a capital fund for immediate capital needs.


Volunteer Needs

Highfield Hall runs on volunteers and has a current corps of more than 100. Volunteers are needed to serve as greeters, stages special events, act as docents, participate in committees, assist with development, garden, and a variety of other activities.
