Funding Needs
Historically, for every $100 donated, AmeriCares is able to deliver $3,500 in humanitarian relief, including medicines, medical supplies, nutritional supplements and other vital aid. AmeriCares relies on financial contributions to support our vision to help many more people live longer, healthier lives. Donor dollars help us with transport and delivery, support the complex logistics involved with getting valuable supplies from one place to another, and purchase medicines when product donations are not available. Visit www.AmeriCares.org/donate to help.
Volunteer Needs
AmeriCares volunteers are a meaningful part of the team and are integral to our success. Each year approximately 300 volunteers work in various capacities at our headquarters or in one of our three free clinics in Connecticut, operated by AmeriCares Free Clinics. AmeriCares does not accept applications from individual volunteers for any of our overseas missions. We do, however, welcome volunteers at our headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut to help with project work, administrative duties, community programs, communications, graphic design and special events.
Request for In-Kind Contributions
AmeriCares accepts donations of medicines, medical supplies, vitamins, nutritional supplements, personal hygiene items and relief supplies from manufacturers, wholesalers and licensed distributors. Donations are accepted based on a variety of criteria, including shelf life and critical need.
