The mission of Central Nassau Guidance & Counseling Services, Inc. is to provide clinical treatment, rehabilitation, housing opportunities, social and support services, counseling and guidance to individuals, families and the community affected by mental illness, developmental disabilities, psychological difficulties, addiction and/or dependency problems.

Our Chief Executive Officer has worked in the in the agency for the past 36 years. During her tenure the agency has grown from a small agency with a mental health clinic to a well-respected multi-faceted non-profit corporation with over 200 employees and an annual budget over $10 million. She is a well-respected and tenacious leader who is willing to take risks, aggressively develop programs and advocate for the needs of the individuals and families our agency serves each day.

Program Description:

Central Nassau began providing specialized mental health residential services to people, age 18 and over, in 1989.  We currently serve individuals and families in locations throughour Nassau and Suffolk Counties
The goal of our residential programs is to provide a safe and supportive environment allowing our residents to grow and achieve their fullest potential.

Program Long-Term Success:

Extended our presence in Suffolk County.

Program Short-Term Success:

All residences received New York State highest Tier 1 level of standards.

Over 210 individuals and families housed last year.
