We create lasting impact through our comprehensive, individualized approach to career training, GED preparation, professional and personal counseling, job placement and retention services.

Hector Batista, TWTW's Executive Director, resigned from his position on October 7, 2010 and Richard Brigandi, the Deputy Director and CFO, has agreed to step up as Interim Chief Executive Officer.  Mr. Brigandi's seven years of experience as the Director of Finance & Administration at Body Positive, Inc. and his 11 years as Deputy Director and Chief Financial Officer at The Way To Work, made him a sound choice for the new leadership role. His financial expertise, longevity, and programmatic comprehension will help make the transition smooth and effortless.

Program Description:

VFI's comprehensive program includes the following services: career-specific job skills in medical office assistance, computer and office technology training; bank teller; customer service; security guard training; literacy classes; computer skills training; soft skills classes; skill-building internships; job placement; and two years of career counseling and mentoring to help young people stay on the job. Alumni are always welcomed for college prep workshops and other helpful services.

Making a Clothing Donation
The Way to Work is always seeking Clothes that Work.  What would you wear to a job interview?

The Way to Work currently accepts new or nearly-new and cleaned:

Women’s Clothing

  • Coordinated interview-appropriate skirt and pant suits
  • Crisp blouses, dress shirts, twin sets
  • Blazers and jackets
  • Professional shoes

Men’s Clothing

  • Crisp dress shirts, pastel oxford shirts
  • Modern ties and dress slacks
