Happiness Is Camping, for children with cancer, was founded in 1980. About 400 children, girls and boys aged 1-19 years, attend the overnight camp, staying from 1 - 6 weeks, depending on their health. The camp is free to all, supported by donations and volunteer staff. The medical staff, all from Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital, provide care of the highest quality, including chemotherapy and care for kids with significant medical problems. Happiness is Camping is a place where the remarkable is routine.
