Mission Statement
ZviDance exists to share with audiences the choreographic vision and movement vocabulary of Israeli-born Artistic Director Zvi Gotheiner. Each piece defines a unique set of relationships and experiences, boldly addressing the depths of the human experience. ZviDance also exists to engage students in enriching their appreciation of the art form.

<div>David Persky, Executive Director began working with Zvi Gotheiner and ZviDance in June, 2008.</div><div><br /></div><div>David studied Classical Voice and Politics at Oberlin Conservatory of Music and Oberlin College. Following graduation, he began his administrative career at Elsie Management, where he provided booking representation and management services for sixteen clients, including Madrid's Noche Flamenca, Bahia's DanceBrazil, and several New York City-based dance companies such as Jane Comfort and Company, nicholasleichterdance and the Brian Brooks Moving Company. While at Elsie, David worked closely with Director Laura Colby, developing their clients' materials, writing successfully awarded grants, and booking tours throughout North America.</div><div><br /></div><div>David has a background in brand development, marketing and event planning through his work with Indiepix Films, a distributor dedicated to promoting high-quality, award-winning independent cinema. As Marketing Manager, David developed strategies for the company’s movie releases, generating interest in niche demographics through interactive online campaigns, sponsorship events and public screenings. </div><div><br /></div><div>David has written reviews in dance, theater and music for Flavorpill NYC, a cultural email magazine, has produced theatre at the HERE Arts Center, and a short film for New York's RIPFest Film Festival.</div><div><br /></div><div>David serves on the Advisory Board of Zia Artists and is a member of Dance/USA. In addition to his interests in the performing arts, David enjoys yoga and studies Tibetan Buddhism at the Shambhala Meditation Center of New York.</div>
