Program Description:

A mentoring program that enables and affords the opportunity for "celebrity" mentors to speak with, educate, and embrace our female youth in an effort to educate them on the importance of self-respect, self-awareness, media perceptions, and making healthy life decisions.

Program Long-Term Success:

At the end of each session, the Foundation gathers annonymous data from our students. To date, the data reveals: Are you sexually active? 48% responded yes. Of the students who are sexually active, 7% responded yes when answering the question, "Have you had more than one partner within the same month?" Out of the students who are sexually active, when asked have you ever been pregnant, 4% responded yes. When asked the question, "If you are sexually active, as a result of this assembly are you more likely to protect yourself?" 99% responded yes, and less than 1% had no response. When everyone was asked, "As a result of this assembly, are you least likely to have sex?" 74% responded yes, 15% responded no, 3% were unsure, and 8% had no response.
