Mission Statement

The mission of Water for South Sudan, Inc. is to create access to and monitor safe drinking water for communities located in South Sudan. The goal of Water for South Sudan, Inc. (WFSS) is to increase the quality of life and health of families in South Sudan by drilling wells to provide fresh, safe potable water.

Impact Statement

From Fall, 2005 to May, 2011, Water for South Sudan, Inc. has drilled one hundred and four (104) successful wells with hand-pumping systems in remote villages providing the first clean, potable water. Serving tens of thousands South Sudanese daily, the wells provide fresh, potable water daily to fulfill basic human needs. 28 successful wells were completed in the last drilling season, 2010/11. With each new well many people receive fresh, safe, clean water located in close proximity to their village. Villagers no longer need to migrate in search of seasonal water supplies.
