Impact Statement
To date, our volunteers have sent hundreds of thousands of care packages and letters to deployed service members; we have supplied the wounded with our thousands of First Response Packs directly at the Combat Support Hospitals in Iraq and Afghanistan and the major military hospital in Germany, as well as provided care and comfort to those in stateside military and VA facilities; we have provided emergency aid to military families in need; we have partnered with the Department of Defense to provide voice-controlled/adaptive laptops to over 6,000 severely-wounded servicemembers, as well as other technology that supports rehabilitation; we have provided flights to soldiers on leave or in emergency situations, and to their families wanting to be with them upon return from overseas; we have provided Level III KEVLAR armored blankets to give personnel extra protection in their vehicles when it was needed; we help to honor and uphold the families whose loved ones have paid the ultimate price for our freedom and safety. With the assistance of our generous supporters , the many volunteers of Soldiers' Angels have accomplished this and much, much more on behalf of the grateful citizens of the United States of America.

Military/Soldier, Veteran and Family Support

Program Description:
We supply care packages, cards and letters to deployed soldiers. We support the wounded soldiers by sending comfort packs to them at the 11 different hospitals, including the war zones. We are helping families get to their wounded soldiers by donating airline tickets and hotel rooms or getting them situated at Fisher House if possible. Volunteers, with the financial contributions of hundreds of thousands of donors across the nation, have adopted soldiers, sent care packages, distributed comfort scarves to soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan, and purchased phone cards for soldiers to call their families. Special services for the wounded include purchasing over 6,000 laptops with voice activation software and providing deeply appreciated airline tickets for family members to visit their child or spouse, or often grandchild, since they are so young. When they return to one of the military or veterans hospitals in the US, Soldiers’ Angels is there to offer their families housing, living and moral support while they are recovering. This is just a sample of over 20 projects encompassed by the soldier support program.
Program Long-Term Success:
During 2008 we processed more than 100,000 soldier adoptions, and we adopted over 50,000 troops. During the Holidays at year end we sent over 110,000 gift bags and cards to our deployed heroes. We have over 105,000 volunteers (angels.)
