Program Description:
Women leaving domestic abuse shelters often move into apartments that need cleaning. Cleaning supplies are expensive and a cost to these women who are on limited incomes.
We want to offer each woman a bucket filled with cleaning supplies and a clothes basket with laundry supplies. Additionally, we seldom have vacuums and would like to offer refurbished vacuums to those who need one (estimated 50-75 per year) and finally we always need pots and pans and would like to purchase some sets of new ones.
Program Long-Term Success:
We will reduce the need for abuse victioms to return to their abusers for support.
Program Short-Term Success:
Each family will receive
Cleaning Bucket, Laundry Baskets,
Vacuum Cleaners
New Pots and Pans
Program Success Monitored by:
Will interview advocates from domestic abuse shelters to determione the effectriveness.
Program Success Examples:
Every client receiving household furniture will have a clean apartment to move into.
