CRY is a Christian charity dedicated to caring for disadvantaged, destitute and suffering children, young people and their families. CRY aims to rescue and restore young lives broken by poverty, oppression, exclusion and abuse and to provide appropriate opportunities for a better future. David Farndale is the founder and President of CRY USA and also CEO of the British sister charity Care and Relief for the Young (CRY UK) - reg charity no. 1011513. CRY UK was registered in 1992 and recorded a gross income in 2007 of $1,300,000 USD (£650,000 GBP). As well as his overall management of CRY UK and CRY USA, David is Business Development Director of "CRY Trading Ltd" of which "CRY Charity Shops" (Thrift Shops) is a part. David joined CRY UK as a trustee in 1992 and was appointed Executive Officer in 1997. David was previously Managing Director of his own UK-based retailing and publishing businesses.
