Mission Statement
World’s Children seeks to provide humanitarian aid and assistance to people and communities living in poverty around the world, and especially to those living in the most under-developed areas. Recognizing that children are often helpless victims of poverty and disaster and yet it is they who will shape the future, this organization provides support, shelter, maintenance and education to children either directly or through institutions established to provide for the basic needs of orphaned, disabled, impoverished, AIDS afflicted or otherwise disadvantaged children.

Impact Statement
Over the past 45 years World’s Children has supported an estimated 44,000 at-risk children living in orphanages and hostels in Asia, Latin America, South America and Africa. World's Children has helped many of these children attain a higher education and move beyond the poverty and illiteracy that grips their families. The organization has built new dormitories, repaired buildings, constructed water storage tanks and toilets, drilled drinking water wells, purchased livestock, funded seeds and tools for vegetable gardens, bought beds and tables, and generally improved living conditions at many of the orphanages we support.

CEO/Executive Director Statement:
World’s Children is a small organization run by heart-motivated individuals and this is both our appeal and our strength. We know our sponsors by name, people calling our office are greeted by a real person rather than a confusing array of choices, and as often as not the caller will find they are speaking to the director or assistant director. The staff of World's Children have worked for years in developing countries doing such things as providing shelter to destitute street children in Bangladesh, working in a school for former street beggars in India, providing front-line assistance to victims of the Asian tsunami, delivering development aid to Caribbean countries and overseeing the construction of numerous toilets and drinking water wells for schools, orphanages and villages in India. We bring to our charity the personal knowledge that what we do makes a real difference for impoverished children. This is not just a job for us, it’s what we love. And we enjoy sharing it with others.
