Mission Statement
The United German-American Committee is dedicated to preserve, educate, and promote the cultural heritage of Americans of German-speaking ancestry and to be the voice of German-Americans in cultural and public policy debates in the USA.
We are a non-profit, non-partisan, 501(c)3 educational organization which serves as a national membership organization through which Americans, proud of their German heritage and language, work together on vital issues of common concern.

Mr. Ruediger Lentz
Chief Executive Profile:
Before Mr. Lentz served as the Executive Director for the
German-American Heritage Foundation of the USA,
he held the position of Bureau Chief and Senior Diplomatic Correspondent for
Deutsche Welle Radio and Television stationed in Washington, DC.
Prior to his assignment to Washington, DC
Ruediger Lentz served as Bureau Chief of Deutsche Welle Radio in Brussels from March 1992
until December 1998. From October 1990 until March 1992 he was Editor-in-chief
of RIAS-TV in Berlin.
Early in his career he was also a correspondent for Der Spiegel, a German News
magazine.

The German American Heritage Museum of the USA located at Hockemeyer Hall (719 6th Street NW) in Washington, DC will serve as a national museum for the historical accomplishments of German-Americans. Opening in March 2010, the Heritage Museum will tell the story of all Americans of German-speaking ancestry and
how they helped shape our great nation today.
