Impact Summary from the Nonprofit

In 2011, we accomplished our goals by operating another succesful Winter Color Guard Program.  We also presented two drum corps competitions in our 28th Annual DCI Drum Corps season with an increase in fans attending and we further presented our 15th Annual German Heritage Festival which serves the local German Community and helps meet our financial goals as well.  We also ran several successful fundraising events as well.  The fact that we survived the worst economic climate in years is also another positive.

Ray is a volunteer of the organization since it's inception in 1983 and has not only been the treasurer for many of those years but also serves prinarily as the day to day person in charge of the organization. In addition he was the director of the Lake Erie Regiment Drum & Bugle Corps. He has over 30 years experience in the marching band and drum corps world serving as teaching staff, administrator and judge over those years.

Leadership Statement:

<div>Lake Erie fanfare is unlike many other non-profits that I know of in that we operate only with volunteers.  We do not have any overhead for paid staff and we do as much of the work in house as we can.  I feel confident that our programs throughout the last 28 years have benefitted numerous kids in our area and we are proud to have achieved all that we've done while still operating in the black at all times.</div>

Lake Erie Fanfare Competitions - an Annual DCI Event held in the Erie area each summer since 1983. Lake Erie Regiment Drum & Bugle Corps - Jr. Drum & Bugle Corps from the greater Erie area was active from 1994 thru 2005. Lake Erie Regiment Winter Color Guard - Winter Indoor Color Guard from the Erie area from 1998 thru the present Associated with the Erie German Heritage Festival

The Lake Erie Regiment Winter Guard competed in 10 events including the WGI Championships in April, 2009.
