Program: General Fundraising

Budget:
$8,000
Category:
Human Services
Population Served:
Military/Veterans

Program Description:

Vets Helping Heroes has raised all money to date through general fundraising efforts.  Donations from the general public and foundations with occasional grants.  As we've had no formal "program" to date, we have minimal overhead and more than 95% of all money raised goes directly to supply service dogs to veterans.

Program Long-Term Success:

We work hard to raise public awareness of our organization and plan to continue to raise the bulk of our money through general donations.  As we grow and aquire registered status in states outside of Florida we hope to add a variety of fund-raising programs.

Program Short-Term Success:

As of September 2010, through public donations we have raised enough money to provide 32 service dogs to veterans.

Program Success Monitored by:

Our program success is monitored by the number of service dogs we can provide to veterans.

Program Success Examples:

Due to privacy constraints, we cannot divulge details about the veterans who have received dogs as a result of our fund raising efforts.
