Mission Statement

Help Animals India is an all-volunteer USA non-profit 501(c)(3) charity dedicated to supporting efficient and effective animal protection organizations in India. Help Animals India aims to educate, inspire and fundraise for animal/environmental sanctuaries and animal rescue groups in India. Help Animals India seeks out the best of these under-funded organizations to provide financial and practical assistance where we can make the most difference.
Despite some of the best animal protection laws in the world and a renowned heritage of reverence for life, modern India is a country where millions of animals suffer severe neglect or abuse.
Overpopulation, poverty, pollution, superstition, apathy and ignorance all contribute to their plight. In a country where human misery and impoverishment remain high, the welfare of destitute animals is a low priority.
Help Animals India strives not only to achieve immediate benefits for India’s animals, but to nurture an enduring culture of animal protection.

We strictly monitor and put our donors’ contributions to work where they are most needed and can do the most good.

Impact Summary from the Nonprofit
Wildlife is under extreme threat due to overpopulation and help protect species. India is becoming a throw away society for pet dogs and cats and through humane education we are supporting better levels of understanding so this does not happen. Intensive factory farming is just beginning in India we aim to prevent its spread.
What we are doing is different than some other charities as we are empowering the charities by referring donors directly to them, advertising their websites, giving guidance on animal care and at times helping with English language to add strength to their mission. India groups must become strong within their communities and that is what we aim for most of all. With our overhead and expenses (only postage and wiring fees) are very little , all the rest can go to India which is making a powerful impact there since the dollar goes very far indeed and even now more so than usual. It is our greatest joy to send over these grants, Conditions and challenges in India are so tough and we can make all the difference.
As ever for the animals,

Program:
VSPCA
- Budget:
-
$106,000
- Category:
-
Animal-Related
- Population Served:
-
General Public/Unspecified
Program Description:

VSPCA - Our funding of flood relief in 24 villages in the Kurnool District of Andhra Pradesh made it possible for over 11,000 animals to be rescued, fed and medicated. Our grants have paid for a new cat sanctuary, an ambulance on call 24/7 for injured and suffering animals and the salaries of two veterinarians. Last year, we purchased nearly five acres of land 40 kilometers from VSPCA. This will be the site of The VSPCA Kindness Farm – a sanctuary for horses, donkeys, buffaloes and many other animals who need room to roam. Most crucially, our dependable funding has allowed VSPCA to keep covering its daily operating expenses: food and medicine for over 1100 animals, wages for the many animal care workers and more.
