Mission Statement

Barn Cat Buddies is a 501C 3 non-profit, charitable Organization comprised of volunteers with a common mission dedicated to saving and improving the lives of feral, homeless, stray and abandoned felines in the southwest and central regions of Virginia.

Our mission includes education, relocation of sterilized feral as well as  socialized felines to safe areas such as horse or dairy farm, hardware, feed and seed stores, or greenhouses and/or other businesses which follow our safe relocation protocol.

The Barn Cat Buddies also believes in ending overpopulation through a safe habitat program Trap/Neuter/Return where caretakers provide long-term care.  As advocates of all felines, we believe that cats, as living creatures, have value and are entitled to ethical consideration and protection.

Funding Needs

We are always in need of cash donations to help with feline spays and neuters. Since our volunteers are un-paid, all donations go straight to medical care or assistance with making the program run efficiently.

Volunteer Needs

We are always looking for foster homes for friendly cats and kittens that must be pulled from shelters at a moment's notice. We are also interested in training folks who are interested in learning how to trap community cats for the goal of having them sterilized.
