Impact Statement

St. Joseph Home provides a residence for 48 children and adults with the most severe/profound disabilities, and we maintain a constant list of families waiting for an open spot for their special needs child.

Our residents enjoy a quality of life that includes attending a Hamilton county special education school or adult workshop, or for our youngest or too medically fragile residents, staying on campus to attend St. Joseph Academy.

St. Joseph Home is staffed by approximately 160 caring people who work in nursing, direct care, active treatment, physical and occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, nutrition and psychological services.

We provide 24-hour nursing and personal care for our residents and short-term guests at our Harold C. Schott Respite Center.

Families caring for their special needs child at home get a much needed break for rest and recovery by using our Harold C. Schott Respite Center for a short term stay for their child.
