Impact Statement
The Center for Chemical Addictions Treatment (CCAT) specializes in compassionate treatment for drug and alcohol addicts, emphasizing recovery in a clean, safe environment. Our professional staff recognizes that addiction is a medical, not a moral problem. In 2011, nearly 1,000 people were helped to move toward recovery and toward becoming productive citizens in the community.
CCAT offers a continuum of care beginning with our Medically-Monitored Detoxification Program. This program is designed to support addicts through withdrawal as they begin their journey into recovery. Our professional 24-hour nursing staff is sensitive and compassionate to the needs of our patients throughout this process. Following Detox, patients have an opportunity to continue their recovery process through our 28-Day Short-Term Residential Treatment Program. This Program provides individual attention and education to help patients focus on recovery. The Residential Treatment Program offers educational sessions on various aspects of addiction and recovery, individual counseling, group therapy, art and recreation and Twelve Step meetings. Our Family Program offers weekly education and activities for family members and significant others to enhance treatment and support recovery for their loved one.
CCAT's AfterCare Program provides peer support in the continuing road to recovery while our OASIS Program (Older Adults Seeking Independence In Sobriety) offers addiction education for adults age 50+. For those patients who are addicted to opiates, CCAT offers an outpatient medication-assisted treatment program, utilizing Suboxone, an FDA-approved medication that eases the symptoms of withdrawal from opiates.
Our professional medical staff uses research-based models and the newest scientific advancements to increase opportunities for success for our patients.

CEO/Executive Director Statement:
For forty-one years, the Center for Chemical Addictions Treatment (CCAT) has been a beacon of hope to thousands seeking a way to live a sober life. Despite a challenging financial climate, CCAT continued providing quality addiction treatment to nearly 1,000 men and women last year. In addition to patient care, family members participated in their own learning and healing process as our Family Program was expanded. In addition to our weekly Family Program meetings, Al-Anon celebrated their fourth anniversary of hosting weekly meetings here at CCAT. The Voices of Hope group is in their second year of supporting CCAT by advocating for treatment options in our community. Voices of Hope played a key role this past year in our fundraising efforts, which is critical to close funding gaps and start new programs. This coming year we are anticipating a re-start of construction in the James P. Orr Memorial Garden. A group of community volunteers have stepped forward and offered to donate materials, labor and the money needed to complete Phase Two. The Garden will feature a gazebo for outdoor group meetings, new landscaping and a flexible recreational area for patients to relax and reflect on recovery. CCAT's mission remains strong; lives are saved and families rebuilt. Thank you for all who had a part in that process and for your continued faith and support.

Funding Needs
The Center for Chemical Addictions Treatment provides alcohol and substance abuse treatment to nearly 1,000 people a year, mostly to the indigent and therefore unable to pay for treatment on their own. Unfortunately, in 2010, one of our funders, the United Way, was forced to make dramatic cuts in funding for our agency. We are currently seeking corporate, foundation and individual donations to make up the $50,000 that was cut. Despite these challenges, we remain committed to our mission to provide top-quality drug and alcohol treatment to those in the Greater Cincinnati area who otherwise could not afford it.
Volunteer Needs
Last year, we were fortunate to have over 200 volunteers donate thousands of hours of time to our agency. With budget cuts and a down economy, we will rely even more on the time and talents of our volunteers to help us "do more with less".
Request for In-Kind Contributions
Our website lists a number of ways contributors can help us carry out our mission, among them, donations to our free clothing store for homeless patients, a wish list with items needed in and around the agency, as well as in-kind contributions of materials, time and equipment for our new recovery garden.
