Program Description:
Daybreak's shelter operates a 24-hour crisis hotline and provides emergency housing, food, and clothing for more than 300 youth ages 10 to 18 every year. During their shelter stay, youth are offered counseling, life skills education, educational support, and referrals to other agencies. Each year Daybreak's Housing Program helps more than 60 homeless young adults ages 18 to 21 become self-sufficient by providing housing and furnishings, counseling, education and career planning, and life skills training. Daybreak's Street Outreach Program makes contact with more than 500 street youth every year. If they're not eligible or choose not to enter our shelter or Housing Program, Daybreak provides them with basic necessities while helping them find a safe place to live.
