Chief Executive

Rev. Junius Ezelle Gash

Term:

Since May 2007

Chief Executive Profile:

Rev. Junius E. Gash is a native of Jamaica New York, but he was raised in the back woods of Powhatan County, Virginia. He received his graduate and undergraduate degree from Virginia Union University. He earned an A. A. S degree from J.S.R.C.C. And he earned a Certificate of completion in Non Profit Management from VCU. He has been and Independent Business Owner since the year 2003.

CEO/Executive Director Statement:

Since TAHM is a newly, emerging public charity and small in size, I wear many hats, i.e., PR, Fund raiser, Executive/CEO, Board President/Chair. However, TAHM is steadily going strong in its community awareness programs and fund raising events. At no time do I or my small Board pressure potential donors to donate to our programs. We make things work with what little we are given. But I am always on the alert for the giving heart of those who want change and believe change will inevitably come through our youth. This is our overall purpose, to train our youth to continue the struggle for Equality, Justice and Freedom. One of these components can not function proficiently without the other two. Our core value, the backbone of TAHM, is the belief that Life is a Holy Living Spirit.

Funding Needs

It seems that in 2010, TAHM faces the same issues as many, well established, not for profits. We have to learn to do a lot with very little. Funds are a continued struggle for TAHM, especially since the operational and other funding has been out of pocket. Then TAHM needs to strengthen its infrastructure, i.e., Board Governance, etc. TAHM'S website was begun as an in-kind donation. Due to unforeseen circumstances the contributor could not complete the site; so TAHM needs a functional website with a user friendly, management software, program. Dedicated volunteers are also needed to help in appealing for funds and other maintenance areas conducive to a professional organization.
