Program: Mexico National Church Conference

Budget:
$271,044
Category:

Population Served:
Adults
Children and Youth (infants - 19 years.)

Program Description:

We support the conference in helping to pay salaries for national missionaries who do child evangelism training, correspondence school administration.  Also funds are used to help support Mexican professors of the Bible college and scholarships for students who need it most.

Graduates of the Bible school become pastors of the churches or part of the faculty after further education.  Other graduates take the leadership positions in other ministries.  Low turnover of faculty and other personnel indicate job satisfaction.

Program Short-Term Success:

There are graduates each semester and churches are growing.

Program Success Monitored by:

number of graduates that enter ministry, number of church attendance and number of mission outreaches of the churches.

Ismael graduated in 1977.  After pastoring several churches, he went to a seminary to obtain a Master's degree.  In 2001 became a professor at the Bible school.  Currently he also is working on a doctorate degree.

María had be diagnosed with schizophrenia and had attempted suicide four times. After coming to the counseling center two times, she gave her life to God   Later her husband saw the change in her and turned his life over to God. Funding Needs

Funds for accreditation project to update facilities, curriculum, faculty members to meet the Mexican standards of accreditation.
Funds for construction for the counseling center.  The current facilities are rented.  However, construction has begun on new facilities.
As an outreach one church has a ministry in a poor neighborhood o Monterrey, Mexico.  Each Saturday they have an AWANA program for some 70-80 children as well as Bible study & crafts for the mothers. Most of this is done outdoors.  They need funds to purchase land & build or purchase adequate facilities.
Many of the churches need funds to expand their current facilities to accommodate the growth.

News

Two important steps
May 03, 2010
Association of North American Missions has reviewed the Preliminary Questionnaire of EMM and approved the continuing membership process.
In their April meeting the EMM board of directors approved the employment of a CPA firm for a financial review of 2009.
ANAM Membership
April 19, 2011
EMM became an Associate member of the Association of North American Missions (ANAM).  Their mission statement is: "ANAM exists to assist member organizations in operating with excellence, thereby maximizing their God-given  ministry effectiveness in reaching the lost and making disciples."  ANAM's primary focus is to be an accreditation and accountability organization for missions with a focus in North America. Member missions can say to their constituency: "We have met a standard of excellence and you can trust us".  EMM personnel worked diligently during 2010 to make sure that we met the requirements of ANAM.
