Impact Statement
PPAG's vision of developing a Creative Arts District in downtown Pueblo is progressing quickly, our commitment to our strategic plan of offering programs that impact our ABC's, Arts, Business, and Community, are a great success.
2011 HIGHLIGHTS
- Received a National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Grant to create a Feasibility Report for a multi-use arts facility that includes artist work/live space.
- $9000+ paid directly to local outdoor performers in 2011 that’s a 253% increase over 2010.
- Creative Industry Membership grew to over 60 individuals, organizations, and businesses.
- Expanded revenue sources by contracting with Pueblo Urban Renewal Authority to produce a four month downtown street performance event called Street Beat.
PREVIEW OF 2012
- One of only four 2012 recipients of the NEA Fast-Track grant in Colorado, for Planning & Design of a multi-use arts facility
- Applied for state Creative Art District Designation for downtown Pueblo (results to be reported in March)
- Continue arts programming in downtown Pueblo with First Friday Art Walk, Street Beat, and Yule Love It Downtown with increased partnerships and sponsors.
