Chief Executive Profile:

Betsy Wilcox joined the Volunteer Center of Washington County as the chief executive in April of 1999. A granduate of the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire, Betsy has completed extensive graduate work in the fields of Counseling and non-profit management. She served on the national Board of Directors for United Cerebral Palsy Associations for 8 years, 6 as a Regional Vice President and Board trainer for the Midwest region. Betsy was chosen to attend the Volunteer Leadership Institute in Washington, D.C. where she completed a year's training in board development and non-profit management. Betsy teaches at venues in Wisconsin on topics of volunteer management and building community coalitions. She serves on several statewide initiatives that focus on building volunteer and nonprofit excellence.

Funding Needs

The Volunteer Center of Washington County relies on a well-diversified funding base.  We seek donations from all sectors of the community.


Volunteer Needs

The Volunteer Center of Washington County has a staff of 25 that enable us to meet all the demands for service we receive from our member agencies and the community!  21 of those staff are volunteer!  It is not an exaggeration to say that we completely rely on volunteers to help us in every capacity.  We welcome all volunteers.


Request for In-Kind Contributions

We manage Donations Connection for Washington County, bringing offers of in- kind goods to the needs of our member agencies.  We too need in-kind support to accomplish our array of services on a small budget.
