Impact Statement

In FY2009 Goodwill/Easter Seals Minnesota provided 31,206 services to 15,146 people with barriers to education, employment and independence.  Services based in our core mission are offered in the major areas of: employment and skills training; placement, retention and career advancement; education and youth services; and community services.

In addition to providing our core mission services Goodwill/Easter Seals Minnesota operates 20 thrift shops in central, western and southern Minnesota.  These shops provide quality used goods to shoppers, generate revenues to support our mission-based programs, provide jobs to hundreds of Minnesotans, offer opportunities for work experience and job training to our program participants, and provide re-use options for several thousand tons of goods which would otherwise enter the waste stream.
