Impact Statement
In 2010, LHP made four previously foreclosed, vacant properties available for affordable sale, provided professional home repairs for 33 homeowners (double the number from previous years) and worked with over 500 volunteers to improve over 35 properties. In 2011, LHP acquired 6 vacant homes to transform into affordable homes for sale, are on track to repair 50 homes and once again work with 100's of volunteers. In 2011, we determined that 87% of the homeowners we assisted in 2006 have not needed to request additional assistance from us and that 70% are still living in their homes. LHP stabilizes communities by helping make Lemay a place everyone can be proud to call home.

Chief Executive
Justine Craig-Meyer
Term:
Since
June
2005
Chief Executive Profile:
Justine has been working to preserve and increase affordable housing since joining Lemay Housing Partnership in 2005. She has been certified in community organizing and as a housing counselor through NeighborWorks training programs and thanks to scholarships from the Office of Community Development and HUD. She is currently seeking certification in Affordable Housing Development with a Finance emphasis. At the Partnership, she has overseen the repairs for over 100
homes, worked towards the production of seven single family homes for sale, and grown the staff from a part-time position to include full-time construction manager, social worker, and volunteer manager. Justine also volunteers in the community and serves on the Advisory Board for the Heartland Regional Investment Fund, LLC.
CEO/Executive Director Statement:
When I began in 2005, I immediately understood the impact
improvements to the physical structure of one's home could have on the health of everyone living there. But only now can I look back and point to those concrete examples: the woman whose lack of ability to improve dental health was causing her to miss work and the choice
between housing costs and health costs were evident, the family whose children suffer from severe asthma with no way to pay for the mold remediation, and the senior who is already susceptible to cold temperatures watching her small income go out the window with her heating bills. I am proud that LHP is there to help each and every Lemay resident that we can.
