To ensure that the Kansas rural and agricultural community can keep pace with the rate of change, it is imperative we supply informed, decisive, communicative spokespersons to represent our industry and communities, keeping the public factually informed, as policies are formed and decisions are made. To address these needs we provide an intensive study, training, and travel experience for future leaders of Kansas.

Jack Lindquist was raised on diversified family farm in Marshall County, Kansas and received his degree in Agricultural Education from Kansas State University. His Professional Career has been concentrated on human development and agricultural education activities, including two years as a 4-H Youth Agent for the Dickinson County Extension Service, nearly nine years as a KSU Associate Professor for Agriculture with the Douglas County Extension Service, Lawrence, and since 1990, as President of Kansas Agriculture and Rural Leadership, Inc. and Director of the KARL Program.

The KARL Program is a two-year educational experience offering intensive study, training and travel for emerging leaders in agriculture and rural communities.
