Mission Statement

Caroline Furnace Lutheran Camp(CFLC)grew out of the belief that children would benefit from a week of summer camp gathered around the gospel of Jesus Christ. Since this beginning CFLC has grown into a year-round ministry with a eight-week summer camping season for youth 6 - 18 years of age, with the remainder of the year operating as a retreat facility for youth, families, congregations (of various different denominations), schools, seniors, service organizations and intergenerational events.

Pastor Wayne served Lutheran congregations in Virginia for 14 years before coming to the camp in the early summer of 2000. He has extensive experience in youth ministry, a vision of expanding our retreat ministry, with a special concern for the health and vitality of clergy.
