Impact Statement

Over 200 families have turned to Richmond Jewish Foundation to assist them with their charitable giving and have made personal commitments to perpetuate Jewish life in Richmond.  We concluded the 2010 calendar year with funds totaling just under $30 million with more than $1.4 million contributed to the Foundation from dedicated families and agencies that care deeply about the sustenance of Jewish life in Richmond and throughout the world.  More than $1.3 million was distributed on behalf of our fund donors to charitable organizations, the vast majority of those funds supporting local Jewish causes in the Richmond area.

The Foundation continues its commitment to educating our community about the positive aspects of including charitable giving as part of one's estate planning.  This has been the driving force of our Create a Jewish Legacy program for the past four years.
