Mission Statement

The mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of the Coastal Empire is to create, find and support programs that directly enhance the health and well-being of children and families. Our cornerstone program is the Ronald McDonald House, a "Home away from home" for more than 300 families each year whose children are receiving medical treatment in area hospitals. Other core programs include the Ronald McDonald Family Room and the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile.

Impact Statement

The Savannah Ronald McDonald House serves approximately 300 families each year with a "Home away from home." The Family Room serves approximately 500 families each year in Savannah with a respite while their children are receiving medical treatment at St. Joseph's/Candler Hospital. And the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile program provides dental examinations and preventative treatments to approximately 2,000 underserved children in Beaufort County (SC).

RMHC utilizes volunteers for many things including 3-hour shifts in the House and Family Room, through our Adopt a Meal program, bakers, weekend managers, event and special committee volunteers.
