Leadership Statement:
<div>The Foundation encourages individuals, corporations and foundations to consider investing in the improvement of the community's health by matching their charitable interests with community healthcare needs. To accomplish our mission we focus on donors' needs and interests, we integrate philanthropy options with estate planning objectives and we offer exciting and visionary opportunities for philanthropic investments. The Foundation's experienced, knowledgeable and professional staff work with donors, their families and their financial advisors to help them determine how best to realize their philanthropic visions. We encourage outright gifts of cash, stock, homes, real estate, insurance or tangible personal property. We also can help provide guidance about gifts that can provide annual income to the donor. These gifts help our community have access to cutting edge technologies and equipment, skilled nurses and physicians, and excellent programs like open-heart surgery and cancer care, orthopaedics and spine and neurosurgery. Our Legacy program offers donors the opportunity to make a future gift while still maintaining control of assets during their lifetimes. As an expression of gratitude the Foundation has special recognition programs for gifts of $1,000 (Benefactor), $10,000 (Barstow Reed Society) and $1 million. </div>
