Mission Statement

The advancement of the religion of Christianity with emphasis on planning and developing to accomplish the following:

  • Fundraise for the Land and Building Fund of the Christian Commons Project of the Real Liberal Christian Church
  • Grow organic food for members and the hungry
  • Supply food banks
  • Construct and rehabilitate housing on Christian-Commons property and elsewhere for both Church members and non-member homeless
  • Make clothes for members and the needy
  • Conduct Church liturgy (sacraments/rites/ordinances)
  • Conduct ministries to educate and train youth and seminarians to be democratically, congregationally ordained
  • Conduct outreach (Internet; membership drives)
  • Plant churches (house churches, cell churches), and
  • All other things consistent with the message of Jesus Christ

Program Description:

This is our initial program. It is in the developmental stage. We are geared right now to gaining members who will spread the word, interact on our website, network with others, and contribute to the Land and Building Fund. When we have sufficient capital, we will acquire land, etc., where we will house working members who will, among many other things, raise organic food for themselves and for the surrounding area's poor.

Funding Needs

We need funds to acquire farmland, construct buildings, purchase equipment and materials, and cover operating overhead.


Volunteer Needs

To start with, volunteers are needed to build up membership and simply to spread the word. Initially, this will involve heavy website interaction and networking.
