Chief Executive Profile:

Dr. J.T. Houk, whom everyone calls "Dock" is founder and CEO of Congressional District Programs and National Heritage Foundation. He is a graduate of Phillips Academy, Andover (1951); Brown University (55); University of Economics, Helsinki (Fulbright 56); LaSalle University, JD, (59) and American University, Ph.D. (61). He feels that he is a pioneer in the field of fund-raising for charities which he calls Philanthropic Marketing. Dock is considered to be the founder of the donor-advised movement.

Program Description:

CDP accepts applications from individuals from across the United States to become a part of our organization. The accepted applications become operating programs that provide a multitude of services to communities. These programs vary from Soup Kitchens to Equine Therapy for inner city youth. All of our programs collectively have one thing in common - the desire to help their community and make a difference in as many people's lives as possible.

Since CDP started accepting applications in 2006, we have accepted and provided project management oversight for over 1,100 programs nationwide. We hope to accept many other worthwhile programs in the near future that will enable CDP and our programs to reach as many needy families and individuals as possible.
