Chief Executive
Mr. Ron Gonzales
Term:
Since
Apr
2005
Chief Executive Profile:
Ron Gonzales has worked with the homeless for over 30 years. As one of the founding board members of the Los Angeles Mission (one of the largest skidrow missions in America), and former CEO, Ron is experienced in executive management, program development, finance, marketing and fund-raising. He is also the founder and owner of Innovative Learning Systems that has developed the NOVA Program (a computer-enhanced career educational program for men and women in rehabilitation), and established over 200 educational centers in 38 states across the nation.;
CEO/Executive Director Statement:
Few people realize the depth of despair that our homeless face on a daily basis. Prior to 1975 it was typically 54-year old, white, male alcoholics down on their luck, but the typical homeless person today is a 28-year old, multi-racial, male or female, with both alcohol and substance abuse issues, having limited education and little to no work history, and is hostile. The fastest growing category of homeless is children. The demand for services has sky-rocketed, while the amount of resources available to help has shrunk. Only through the generosity and volunteer support of the American people will we ever be able to turn this trend around. Please give freely of both your time and resources, and be faithful in your prayers.
