Impact Statement
Our team of volunteers seeks out under served pockets of need in rural Guatemala and we research projects that focus on education, vocational training, and sustainable development (clean water, safe stoves, latrines,...). "Miracles" board then selects those projects that achieve long-term results, improve quality of life, and allow truly impoverished people to help themselves.

Program:
Build a Primary School
- Budget:
-
$30,000
- Category:
-
Education
- Population Served:
-
Children Only (5 - 14 years)
Program Description:
Education is the answer to poverty, but it is often out of reach for the poorest of the poor. We buy the building materials and partner with villagers in rural Guatemala who provide the construction labor to build their own school. If you fund a school you can come to Guatemala to visit the school and attend the grand opening. Building a school in a community that has no primary school is truly helping the poor to help themselves.
Program Long-Term Success:
Purchased and distributed over 350 new wheelchairs to disabled children and adults who could not afford one.
