Mission Statement
We partner with missionaries and thier local church to help them fulfill their specific God-given ministry in the U.S. and abroad. By helping missionaries with administrative duties, we make it possible for them to concentrate on their ministry. Rather than the missionary serving the mission, CTEN serves the missionary, with pastoral and administrative care, enabling them to fulfill their unique calling. The local church has a vital role in sending missionaries. We maintain a supportive relationship serving both the church and the missionary. This enables the church and the mission agency to both do what they do best so the missionary can be of maximum effectiveness on the field.

Impact Statement
The 225+ missionaries located in excess of 50 countries touch lives daily. The impact ranges from providing medical care in remote villages, teaching agricultural skills, caring for orphans and abused children, teaching children, developing written languages, flying aircraft in jungles, and so much more. We have estimated that the missionaries touch more than 8,000 people worldwide a month and probably many more.

Chief Executive
Rev. Richard Malm
Term:
Since
Dec
1994
Chief Executive Profile:
Richard Malm, founder of the former TEAM Missions, now Commission To Every Nation, has served in many leadership positions prior to founding the mission organization. He was principal of various private schools in Texas as well as pastoring churches prior to serving as a missionary in Guatemala. While in Guatemala he saw a need to help missionaries stay on the field. Many of these missionaries had a change in their ministry focus and no longer could stay with their current organization. He developed this ministry to help missionaries fulfill what God had called them to individually perform. His leadership has led the organization to double in size every year since it was founded. He is currently serving as pastor of The Summit Church in Corpus Christi, TX.

Program:
Pastoral Care
- Budget:
-
$60,000
- Category:
-
Religion
- Population Served:
-
Adults
-
Children and Youth (infants - 19 years.)
Program Description:
There are over 450 missionaries and family members serving worldwide. We know they face struggles. Our pastoral care team staying in contact with them dealing with the spiritual and mental stuggles they face. Part of that pastoral care support is to go to the missionary's location to see what they face and to deal with issues in the field rather than having them come to the US. This allows us to help them deal with issues first hand and in the stress environment. This requires air travel, which is costly. The results of such visits are enormous.
Program Long-Term Success:
When we spend time letting them know that someone cares enough about what they are doing to come spend time with them, there is a lasting impact. It gives them the confidence to stay in the work, using their skills to benefit the people they are serving. We see marriages and families healed. The result are people with great skills serving in difficult places, knowing that they are not doing it alone.
Program Short-Term Success:
We see immediate results when we set down with a person who is doubting their abilities to serve and help them to re-evaluate their purpose. In most cases we see the person or family gain a true sense of care and support available any time.
Program Success Monitored by:
The president and director follow up visits with communications and site visits to insure the progam success. We monitor the missionaries periodic reports for indicators of success as well as the need for more pastoral care.
Program Success Examples:
As one example, we had an older couple serving in a remote mountainous region. During the pastoral care visits and followup visits from the director, the couple determined it would be far better to move to a village where more people lived. This resulted in greatly reduced stress on the husband's part becuase he spent a great deal of time insuring they had water and a route out of the location. Their marriage was strengthened and their work with the people improved.

Program Description:
170 missionaries in over 45 countries serve only through the support of individuals, churches, foundations and businesses that want to make a difference in the world. We have no underwriting denomination or foundation providing the financial needs for such a broad spectrum of work. Still, devoted people continue to use their skills, talents and passions to touch lives everywhere.
Program Long-Term Success:
In the past 15 years we have had more than 450 families and singles ministering in more than 60 countries. Medical work has been done in remote villages throughout Mexico, Central America, South America and Africa. Orphans and children taken from abusive situations have received care and training. Teachers have given an education to thousands of expatriat children. Churches have been started throughout the world with the focus of being led by local leaders. There are far too many accomplishments to outline, yet they all have been focused upon showing Christ's love to each person.
Program Short-Term Success:
With hundreds of ministries ongoing, each one has different measurable successes. One example happened in the city of Doctor Arroyo, Mexico. Our missionaries developed and led a feeding program for family members with people in the civil hospital. Most of the family members had little or no money, having come from farming communities. The missionary's desire was to teach the local churches how to manage this program by themselves. In February 2008 the missionaries told the Mexican workers that they were willing to step away at any time. Since then the work has been very successfully led by local leaders and the missionaries have moved to another country.
Program Success Monitored by:
We track our many missionaries through reports as well as on-site visits conducted by our pastoral care staff. Our president and director also selectively visits various locations to encourage and review the on-going work.
Program Success Examples:
- Wells are being dug in Mexico and Honduras
- A home for abused girls won the national girls acrobatic championship in Guatemala
- New orphanages have been started in Cameroon and Thailand.
- Disaster relief has been provided in various parts of the world
- Agricultural programs have helped many villages in Cameroon and Burkina Faso
- Performing Arts are used in Spain, Mexico, Guatemala and other countries to open hearts for counseling and ministry
Funding Needs
Each of our missionaries are responsible for raising the funds to support their work. While many are very good at their ministry, they are not highly skilled as financial support raisers. We encourage people to contact us to learn of people who may have a ministry that parallels their interests. With more than 225 missionaries we have people doing many works to choose from.
