Mission Statement

The American Leadership Academy (ALA) exists to create and support programs which provide education and training for college students and alumni in the areas of leadership, scholarship, service, citizenship and free enterprise.

Chief Executive Profile:

The Executive Director serves as an employee and reports to the ALA Board. The current Director is Tom C. Pennington, Texas, who comes to the position after more than 20 years in the college and non-profit community. Tom is responsible for the day to day activities of the ALA, program marketing and planning, faculty recruitment, and the fundraising plan. He comes to the position with a strong background in college student programming and non-profit management.

CEO/Executive Director Statement:

The ALA provides an important compliment to the academic education provided by colleges and universities, by giving students connections with accomplished professionals who teach from personal success.
