Mission Statement
The mission of Keep Kids Alive Drive 25® is to end all deaths and injuries caused by speeding on all roadways. Our target is zero deaths, zero injuries. To do less is to accept and tolerate deaths and injuries to loved ones; daughters, sons, mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and friends. To accomplish our mission we work to educate and actively engage citizens throughout the United States in a common commitment to create safer streets in neighborhoods, and beyond, for the benefit of all. This includes pedestrians, cyclists, children-at-play, motorists and their passengers. We work with and through neighborhood groups, law enforcement, public health agencies, schools, city/county/state government, public works, businesses, safety organizations, and any and all civic organizations committed to creating safe roadways. Another key component of our mission is support for families who have experienced the death of a child due to a traffic incident.
Impact Statement
Keep Kids Alive Drive 25 has worked with and through law enforcement, neighborhood organizations, public works, schools, civic organizations and businesses in over 1000 communities throughout the U.S. This represents 48 states to date. Thousands of local civic leaders and volunteers have banded together to create safer neighborhood streets for the benefit of us all.
We have also supported and partnered with dozens of families who have experienced the death of a loved one due to a traffic incident. This has resulted in legislative action to create safer neighborhood streets in Texas, safer school zones in Florida, the inception of "Keep Kids Alive Drive 25" zones in two Missouri communities, and the annual "Keep Kids Alive Drive 25 5K" Roadrace, entitled "Run Faster, Drive Slower" run by students at Colts Neck High School in New Jersey.
