The National Psoriasis Foundation was founded in 1968 by people who have psoriasis and/or psoriatic arthritis. Our mission is to improve the quality of life of people who have these diseases. The Psoriasis Foundation offers information and connections to others that help people gain the hope and motivaton necessary to take action. Through our educational materials and programs, we inform and empower patients, fund research for better treatments and, ultimately, a cure. Led by a volunteer Board of Trustees and advised by a volunteer Medical Board, the Foundation works to dispel the public ignorance often associated with this chronic, lifelong skin disease. The Psoriasis Foundation serves people throughout the U.S. and, through our alliance with the Intewrnational Federation of Psoriasis Associations, a host of foreign countries.
